Current challenges

Financial support for the organization is dependent upon the generosity of it support as well as that of the local and international volunteers. Due to the fluctuating nature of donations it makes planning for the long term of the organization difficult. These financial contributions provide for the day to day running of the organization; however there are requirements that cannot currently be met. These are explained below:

2. Emergency Light

Most of the evening here in Kathmandu - no power due to government load shedding. During the evenings it is very difficult for the children to complete their school work or partake in extra help for school because there is no electricity. At this current time this is one of our biggest issues.

We solve this problem.

3. Rent and Staff Salary

Possible Nepal is entirely run by volunteers. As we cannot provide our volunteers with a source of income, our turnover rate of staff is extremely high, leaving us understaffed and ill equipped for the children. Some sort of salary would help ensure that our staff would continue to work with us for years as opposed to months.

5.Food

We are very serious providing proper and nutritional food for our children. The age range of the children is from 6 to 12 years old, which ultimately means that we are constantly in need of food for these growing children. Because of limited resources we are only able to provide two meals a day which consist of rice, dhal and vegetables (usually potatoes), meat as well as some biscuits for lunch. We are unable to provide for other essential dietary foods such as dairy products, fruit and juces.
